Friday 10 Dec 2021Evaluating trade-offs, heterogeneity and plasticity in Bighorn sheep life-history traits

Benjamin Larue - Universite de Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada

Exchange Lecture Theatre 11:00-13:00

This seminar will cover my empirical research on life-history tactics and trade-offs in wild bighorn sheep. Specifically, I will discuss the use of different statistical approaches to evaluate individual heterogeneity, phenotypic plasticity and evolutionary fitness and the insights gained from these approaches. Though this research is mostly theory-driven, I will also discuss repercussions for wildlife management and conservation.

The seminar will start shortly after 11:00 and last 30-40 minutes. Refreshments will follow.
