Light Fantastic: The Science of Colour

This talk will show how both the biological world and technology are making the most of light's very special properties. With demonstrations and activities to show how the use of light has engineered the world we live in today and will shape the world we live in tomorrow.
Pete Vukusic is Professor of BioPhotoonics at the Univiersity of Exeter. He leads a research group investigating the ways in which animals and plants have evolved strategies for generating and manipulating light and colour, and how bioinspired technology makes use of these strategies.
