Six Professional Services teams in CEMPS have received the Customer First Standard accreditation.

Customer First accreditation success for College Professional Services

A host of professional services teams from the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences are celebrating after receiving a prestigious customer service award.

Six teams within the College – Human Resources, Education, Research, Finance, ERICA and Projects – have been accredited with the Customer First Standard award.

A spokesman for the College said: “Well done to everyone who has been involved in achieving this success. This is a real achievement, not least because we are the first College to achieve accreditation, and illustrates to all our customers that they are at the heart of everything we do.”

A comprehensive feedback report has been produced following the accreditation which highlights some of the excellent practices that are already in place within the College, as well as recommendations to further enhance the services provided.

Les Hewitson, the Customer First Assessor, said: "Customer service is about people knowing they have been provided with the best possible customer experience, but it takes special people to make it happen and, in this respect, the Professional Services Team are very special.”

A Customer Service task group will be driving forward these recommendations as part of the College’s commitment to continuous improvement.
