Students share finest research at JUST Undergraduate Research Conference

Students prepare to showcase their final year research projects, and the innovative research from within our College, in a formal and interdisciplinary conference environment.

The JUST Undergraduate Research Conference, which takes place on May 30th at the Innovation Centre, gives students and staff the chance to hear about how different disciplines research and tackle issues within science and technology.

Presenters will be enhancing their professional and personal skills for the challenging graduate climate, academia and beyond, while guests gain a better insight into the student research at CEMPS.

The event is aimed at current CEMPS undergraduate students in collaboration with the Journal of Undergraduate Science and Technology (JUST). Janet De Wilde, Head of STEM at the Higher Education Academy, will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Prior to the event, students submitted an abstract to the JUST Editorial team. Submissions were reviewed and accepted into the conference, JUST Journal, or both. Students will be giving 20-minute presentations and the editorial team will be awarding a Kindle Fire as a prize for the best presentation of research on the day.

The College welcomes and encourages all guests, and students who do not wish to present their research, to attend the event. Please visit the College Intranet for more details on the JUST Undergraduate Research Conference,

We would like to extend our well wishes to all the students who are presenting, and want to congratulate students for their dedication and the completion of their final year research projects.
