Monday 07 Mar 2016 Moments of the Riemann Zeta Function and Random Matrices, I

Julio Andrade - Exeter

H107 14:30-15:30

In this lecture series I will discuss the moments of the Riemann zeta function and its connection with random matrix theory. In the first lecture I will present the basics involving the Riemann zeta function and the calculations for the second moment of the Riemann zeta function. In the second lecture I will discuss general conjectures for the moments of the Riemann zeta function and how random matrix theory can shed some light on our understanding of this particular problem.
