The Mining Education Team completed a survey of students, recent graduates, and alumni to understand better the nature of the global shortage of mining professionals, educational needs, and career planning success.

We received 194 responses covering a range of views on the current state of the mining industry, career expectations, and the realities of a minerals working life. These perspectives were candid and forthcoming, reflecting both the pride among mining professionals and the critical need for delivering quality mining skills and knowledge provision. A summary of findings is being prepared for external circulation.
