I am an applied Bayesian statistician, working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate with Dr Danny Williamson.
My current research focuses on subjective Bayesian modelling of survey data to understand and influence commuting behaviour in Exeter. This work is part of an Innovate UK and NERC funded project, entitled 'Engaging Smart Transport', which is a collaboration between statisticians and social scientists at the university, the city and county councils and a number of industry partners. The university aim to reduce congestion through encouraging behavioural change towards more sustainable modes of transport.
Previously, I completed my PhD in mathematics and environmental statistics at the University of Exeter in May 2016. Within this project I developed a geostatistical model for European windstorms to explore their most damaging characteristics.
