I completed a 4-year Undergraduate Masters Degree at the University of Exeter in 2015 in which I was awarded the IET Prize for both my 3rd and 4th years. My 3rd-year project focused on the design and efficiency optimisation of a novel linear electromagnetic motor. In my 4th-year project, I was part of a team of seven engineers from various disciplines tasked with designing and building an autonomous railway track inspection robot. My responsibility was the control, optical defect detection, and real-time data analysis systems.
Following this, I joined the Metamaterials CDT in Exeter to work with Prof David Wright and Dr Anna Baldycheva in collaboration with Prof Dan Hewak at the University of Southampton. Our goal is to design and fabricate a variety of nano-scale devices to manipulate infrared radiation using novel phase-change materials.
