The use of robotic in society is increasing with applications ranging from agriculture through to manufacturing, with increasing interest in autonomous systems. This module will introduce the fundamentals of robotic systems including kinematics and dynamics as applied to manipulators and mobile robots. The module will also review the different actuators and sensors supporting robotic systems and their control. In addition, this module will cover various aspects of automation and application of robots in industry in particular in the area of automatic assembly.
