In ENE3003 , Marine Renewable Energy, students obtain general understanding of resource and engineering aspects in marine renewable energy with a focus on wave and tidal energy. In this module (CSMM404 ), students develop an advanced understanding of design and installation requirements for Renewable Energy projects offshore. It covers the fields of i) Hydrodynamics, ii) Offshore Structure Design, iii) Marine operations for energy projects, iv) Met-Ocean data and Resource Characterisation and Consenting. Prerequisite module: ENE3003 is desirable.
