Module title:Semester of Mathematical Sciences Abroad
Module codeECM3912
Module lecturers:Prof Markus Mueller
Module credits:45

This module provides a full semester of studies in the mathematical sciences and/or related subjects at an agreed partner university outside of the UK, normally where the language of instruction is English; this may be in Europe, North America, Australia or elsewhere. It provides you with the excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of mathematical sciences and/or related subjects that are not covered at Exeter, or that are studied from a new perspective. In addition it allows you to experience how other cultures learn, perceive and use the mathematical sciences and its numerous and diverse applications. Study at another agreed partner university where the language of instruction is not English may be approved subject to the requirement that you can prove fluency in that language to A level (or equivalent). This module is available to students on any of the four-year integrated MSci programmes and is typically taken in term one of stage three. In exceptional circumstances it is possible to take the module after term 2 of year 3. To register on this module, you must achieve 60% at stage 2.

NB. You may use your full allowance of outside options so that all of the 45 credits may be taken outside of mathematical sciences.
