In this module you will develop an understanding of the typical civil engineering project procurement routes. Through a mix of traditional lectures and case study projects presented by industry guest speakers you will become familiar with different types of procurement their contractual arrangements and their benefits and drawbacks.

Clear communication between the design team and contractor is key to the successful delivery of any project. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an important tool in facilitates this communication. In this module you will be introduced to BIM technology and methodologies and become familiar in with their application in the construction project context.
