I am a researcher in mathematical and computational neuroscience. My skills lie within the field of mathematical modelling, neurodynamics, nonlinear dynamical systems, bifurcation analysis, numerical methods for differential equations, graph and probability theories. I am interested in applying mathematical and computational techniques for understanding how the brain processes information to achieve specific functional behaviours. My interests include the study of neural oscillations, synchronization problems, action selection, neurodynamics for motor control, central pattern generators, principles of neural decision making and bio-inspired behavioural models of vertebrate animals. I have recently started a project which aims to clarify how the auditory system is capable of listening to, detect and perceive complex sounds in the external environment.
