Women in Mining

Women in Mining UK (WIM) advocates and speaks for women in the mining sector, informing industry participants and decision-makers of the challenges and opportunities women are finding in pursuing careers in mining companies and other mining-related businesses. While its focus is on women, everyone is welcome to join WIM for free and enjoy member benefits. Sign up and register your interest on our website.

Today, females are underrepresented in the mining industry, particularly within technical roles such as geology and engineering. As part of WIM’s commitment to promoting the mining sector as a career choice for women, WIM has partnered with the Camborne School of Mines Trust to offer scholarships to two exceptional aspiring female Mining MSc students. To read about the scholarships and learn how to apply, please see our designated website.

WIM has an active student chapter at the Camborne School of Mines and runs a series of networking and knowledge events throughout the year. To learn about upcoming events, please view our calendar.
