Dr Wenjie Ruan
Senior Lecturer in Data Science
Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in Data Science at University of Exeter. Previously, I worked as a Lecturer in School of Computing and Communications at Lancaster University.
From 2017 to 2019, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Computer Science at University of Oxford, working on the EPSRC Project - Mobile Robotics: Enabling a Pervasive Technology of the Future. I received my Ph.D. degree from the School of Computer Science at The University of Adelaide, Australia. I also did a six-month research intern in IoT Tech Center, Tsinghua University. Before that, I obtained my Master degree in Control Science and Engineering and my Bachelor degree in Automation, both from Central South University, China.
My research interests lie in: (i) Robustness, Safety and Interpretability on Deep Neural Networks; (ii) Machine Learning and Its Applications in Health Data Analytics and Human-Centred Computing
