We undertake pioneering studies with “metamaterials” in the visible, terahertz, microwave and acoustic regimes and are developing new designs for RF-ID, anti-counterfeiting, and sound proofing technologies. Our researchers are studying sub-nanosecond magnetic processes for the reduction of access times in data storage systems, and are enhancing the functionality of "spintronic" devices.
