Ms Rosalyn Ackland
Quality Assurance Manager
As Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager (Education) I have responsibility for the College’s implementation of the University’s Quality Review Framework including the operation of the Annual Student Experience Review, student feedback mechanisms, External Examiner appointments and reporting, TQA compliance exercises, etc. The majority of taught programmes in the College are accredited by various professional institutions, and I operate a busy schedule of accreditation visits across the College. I support the production of accreditation submission documentation and operation of visits, reports and action plans. I also coordinate the College level student academic appeals and complaints processes and manage Education committees.
Previously, my role has encompassed a broad range of educational support activity within the College, including the management of student services, Boards of Examiners, academic misconduct, etc.
I joined the University in April 2004 from the University of Bath where I had spent six years working firstly in the Faculty of Science, followed by the Student Registry where I was involved in the implementation of the Student Record database also used at Exeter (SITS). I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Biology from the University of Southampton, and an MSc in Ecology from the University of Durham.
