Dr Nathan Babcock
Postdoctoral Research Associate
N S Babcock carries out research investigating spin-chemical reactions believed to underly the magnetic “sixth” sense found in plants and animals. His research focuses on the role that biochemical radical electron pairs play mediating magnetic field interactions in life on Earth. His primary area of interest is quantum biology, a new field of inquiry at the intersection of structural biology, quantum information processing, quantum thermodynamics, the axioms of physics, and broader foundations of knowledge (perception). Dr Babcock enjoys cycling, dancing, art, music, and the view on a clear day from atop the physics tower.
