Staff within the college are actively encouraged to gain fellowships through the ASPIRE scheme. It is a framework for developing and accrediting staff who teach and support students’ learning in our research-led environment. Accredited by the Higher Education Academy it offers you the opportunity to gain both a University of Exeter ASPIRE Fellowship and the correlating HEA Fellowship at one of four levels: Associate: Fellow; Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow.

PhD funding is available to study spin-orbit torques in multi-layered magnetic materials by time resolved scanning Kerr microscopy. The use of spin-orbit torques in memory and microwave oscillator devices will also be explored.
