Tuesday 01 Dec 2020: [Journal Club] Title: Characterising Hot Jupiters Using TauREx and PARC Retrievals with ATMO
Michelle Bieger - University of Exeter
Zoom 11:15-11:50
With my results for WASP-79b published, I will be presenting a summary of those results, obtained with the Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field Camera 3’s C141 grism. This HST data was reduced with the Iraclis pipeline and the TauREx retrieval tool, developed by UCL. I will then review shortly the other ARES publications series which I have been involved in as well, which have all used similar methodologies. The next part of my talk will go over future work, including pairing ATMO with TauREx’s modular retrieval code, and ways to utilise PARC, ATMO’s retrieval code written in Python which I have been working on with Jayesh Goyal.
