Tuesday 03 Dec 2019Social Enterprise, Innovating To Save The Planet

James Brown of Mobiloo -

The Deck, Innovation Centre, Streatham Campus 17:00-18:45

As part of the Engineering & Entrepreneurship Seminar Series, we invite you to join us for a talk by James Brown of Mobiloo.

We are currently in the sixth mass extinction event on Planet Earth.

If we are to believe the scientists (and why wouldn't we?), only radical social change can divert us from a catastrophic path, which is leading us to widespread crop failures/food shortages (hence famine), increasingly severe weather events and rising sea levels. It is also leading to loss of species/habitat/biodiversity, unprecedented migration, drought, disease pandemics and so on.

Maybe we ought to do something about this! In my talk, I shall explore the reasons I believe that social enterprise has a significant part to play in reinventing how we organise ourselves, and how a different approach to ‘business’ might just contribute to a habitable planet for current and future generations.

To register for the event, please complete the registration from on the event web page.

Refreshments served from 17:00.

Talk from 17:30-18:45.
