We use rhythmically synchronous multisensory signals which help patients to control their brain's attentional state. We model how multisensory control of attention can facilitate the formation of new neural pathways in the brain. We have used the insights to develop novel therapeutic applications for patients who recover from stroke or from traumatic brain injury.
