Postdoctoral Research Fellow
I am currently working with Prof. John Thuburn on a project to improve the representation of convection for weather and climate models using a 2-fluid model of the atmosphere. The project is funded by ParaCon which is a five-year programme jointly funded between NERC and the Met Office with the aim of significantly improving the representation of convection across model scales from 1-100km.
I completed my PhD at the University of Reading on multi-fluid modelling of convection, followed by a post doctoral position on the same research topic. I also earned a combined-masters degree in Physics at the University of Sussex.
Current research interests:
- Modelling atmospheric convection in the grey zone
- Numerical methods and numerical analysis
- Computational fluid dynamics
- Machine learning based solutions
