Overview

Heya!! :)

I am a second-year doctoral researcher at the Center for Geophysical and Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics group of the Univ of Exeter. I work with Prof. Andrew Hillier on Magnetohydrodynamic Instabilities. My current project focuses on understanding the role of magnetic field on mixing due to Rayleigh-Taylor instability. I have previously obtained my Master's (with a specialization in Fluid Mechanics) from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where I worked with Prof Vagesh D. Narasimhamurthy. I am broadly interested in the areas of Fluid Dynamics, Turbulence, Magnetohydrodynamics, and Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences.

Besides research, I work as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant. I will be PTA for the following courses in the coming terms:

Term 1: MTH1002 Mathematical Methods, MTH2003 Differential Equations, MTHM019 Fluid Dynamics of Atmosphere and Ocean

Term 2: MTH1002 Mathematical Methods

Besides research, I love playing cricket, spending time with friends, trekking, and biking. I would love to meet people from different research backgrounds, places, exploring cultures, so feel free to get in touch! :)
