Mr Leon Debell
Currently studying for a PhD with a focus on using Structure-from-Motion and Multiview Stereo (SfM-MVS) photogrammetry techniques from drone based remote sensing data of the environment. I am also a member of the Environment & Sustainability Institutes DroneLab and a qualified Civil Aviation Authority drone pilot. I have a multifaceted background which includes time as a RAF aircraft engineer, a BSc in Wildife Conservation & Zoo Biology, Conservation Advisor in the UK, an internship at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, various conservation focused field campaigns and as a research technician for the University of Exeter developing a commercial drone system for hydrological studies in peatlands.
