Mr Márcio Santos Goncalves
Márcio is a postgraduate researcher in the Vibration Engineering Section within the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. He joined the Vibration Engineering Section (VES) group in September 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Alex Pavic.
Márcio graduated from the Federal University of Paraíba (Brazil) in 2015 with an MSc. degree (2017). During his Masters course, he investigated the dynamic behaviour of office floors under multi-person walking-induced loads.
Currently, his main research direction involves structural optimisation of office floors and realistic aspects of vibration serviceability assessment of such structures.
