I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Exeter. I was awarded my MSc and PhD from the University of Manchester, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. My research interests are mainly about doing multidisciplinary engineering projects with medical, social, and computer sciences with systematic review of situations, analysing data and providing engineering solutions through novel innovations and products. This includes:
- Data centric Engineering with Machine Learning applications
- Climate Engineering through developing smart cities and sustainable designs, and structures
- Engineering interventions with Energy-Food-Water-Environment-Equity and Public health modelling
- Biosystems and biomedical Engineering using CFD and FEA
- Mechanised eco-friendly agricultural engineering
- Energy economics through hybrid localised energy modelling using wind, solar, hydrokinetic and biofuel energies to achieve circular economy
If you want to do your PhD, MPhil or MRes with me about my research topics, please send your interests by email (m.akrami@exeter.ac.uk).
