Jorge has a Degree (2013) and Master’s Degree (2015) in Civil Engineering from San Antonio University, Murcia in Spain. During his undergraduate and masters studies, he worked in the university’s Computational Mechanics group, in a role related to the study of dynamic behaviour of civil engineering structures and ancient structures, where he combined experimental works and numerical simulations of them.
After his masters’ degree, he worked as an internal researcher in the same role for the Computational Mechanics Group between 2015 and 2017. In addition, he worked as a teaching assistant on the Theory of Structures module for the Degree of Civil Engineering.
Jorge joined the Vibration Engineering Section (VES) in January 2018, where he is studying for a PhD in control and isolation of low level vibration in civil engineering structures, supervised by Professor Paul Reynolds.
