Overview
Professor Ian Barker is an independent consultant and internationally-recognised authority on water policy, governance, regulation and management. Ian is an experienced executive and non-executive director and works at Board level and with senior management in the private sector, as well as with governments, regulators and water companies. He is an expert advisor to the OECD, and is an Honorary Professor at the University of Exeter’s Centre for Water Systems; Fellow, Vice President Environment and Director at the Institute of Water; Director and Honorary Fellow of the Society for the Environment, and a Chartered Environmentalist. In 2021 he was given the World Water Summit’s Global Water Excellence award.
