Group A: Implications of Ofwat duty for the water industry

Briefly, the resilience defined by Ofwat is unclear and therefore the related duties, the targeted level of resilience, and affordability for water industry. Although building resilience and sustainability as required is a right thing to do, cost is the major barrier for practical implementation (particularly for high level of service). To overcome the challenges, innovative techniques are required to improve water system resilience in both short and long term without substantially increasing the cost.
