Dr William Nash
I am an experimental geochemist, interested in refining metals from waste products. My research to date has addressed the chemical speciation of sulfur in molten silicates and the redox conditions in the mantles of Earth and Mars. Besides academia, I have some commercial experience as a consulting geochemist for mines in Australia, the USA, PNG and Peru, in roles chiefly concerned with modelling and monitoring acid-mine drainage from tailings. My research interests include sulfide oxidation, metalliferous leaching, environmental monitoring and extractive metallurgy.
