Overview

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the UKRI Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Centre for Technology Metals (Met4Tech), focussing on developing circular economy geomodels for technology metals. My work utilises mineralogy, geochemistry and geomodelling to gain insight into where technology metals are concentrated in ore deposits and mine wastes, and consider how circular economy principles (e.g., designing out waste and pollution) can be integrated into geomodels and deposit evaluation.

Current Research: Met4Tech

Technology metals are elements that are integral to green and modern technologies, such as Li, REE, Co, Te, In, W, Sn, etc. Met4Tech brings together a consortium of researchers from business systems, social science, life cycle assessment, materials, chemistry, engineering, and geology, to develop a 'roadmap' for a technology metals circular economy in the UK.
