|The Debating Scholarship||£1,500||Thu 31st Aug 2017||Offered jointly by the English Speaking Union and the University to students interested in debating topical political, economic, environmental and social issues in a public forum, who meet designated household income requirements and are in receipt of means tested financial support from the University.|

|Sports scholarships are awarded to students of outstanding sporting ability who show evidence of achievement at international level in their chosen sport. We also encourage applications from students who have achieved at national or regional level for consideration onto our High Performance Programme.|
Physics vacation bursaries
Each year we expect to offer a number of vacation bursaries to Physics undergraduate students. These allow you to spend typically 10 weeks, during the summer vacation, working with a Physics research group. This is a unique funding opportunity to further develop your research skills, become involved with a project at the frontiers of human knowledge, and gain experience of postgraduate research. Priority is given to students who are completing the penultimate year of their studies.
National Health Service bursaries
