Miss Jodi Walsh
My PhD is entitled “AEMORE: Acoustic Emisson Technology for environmental and engineering health monitoring of Offshore Renewable Energy”. It is focused on the underwater sounds associated with offshore renewables (mainly marine renewables) to assess and monitor the engineering health of the devices using its acoutic emission. The application has the potential to become a novel, cost effective condition monitoring and failure diagnosis tool; supporting the economic viability of offshore electricity generation.
The project is funded by a NERC GW4+ DTP Studentship and is in collaboration with J+S Marine Ltd.
