Mr Konstantinos Anastasiou
I started my PhD in September 2015 after receiving my MSc in Astrophysics and Astronomy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In my Masters project I worked with prof. D. Hatzidimitriou and members of the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote sensing (IAASARS). The aim of the project was produce a catalogue of variable sources chosen from the 30 million sources in the Hubble Source Catalog (HSC), validate those candidates and make them available in a catalogue and it was funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).
My PhD project is titled: Flexible, hyperspectral, infra-red photodetectors. The aim is to deliver a high-performance device for photodetecting applications made by novel, graphene-like materials. This research is supervised by Prof. Saverio Russo and Prof. Monica Craciun.
