Born in Sale, Manchester and predominately raised in Poole, Dorset; I naturally moved to Yorkshire to complete an intergrated Masters in Physics at the University of York, which I graduated from in 2016. Whilst there I received a solid grounding in a wide variety of Physics disciplines, and undertook a MPhys project regarding the development & characterisation of a PLD (Pulsed Laser Deposition) system.
The next natural move was to Exeter, where my research focusses on the propagation of magnetic flux through nanostructured metamaterials. In particular, using hard disk read-write heads as the testing ground for the principles of magnetisation dynamics at the nanoscale.
