I received a Master's degree in Radiophysics and Electronics from the Donetsk National University, Ukraine. My Master's project focused on the thermal mechanism of ion beam sputtering. After graduation, I continued to work on this topic, investigating surface modification, ion-photon emission and pattern formation during ion irradiation. Also, I was involved in an ecological project aiming to create an automated system of biomonitoring using micro-algae, where my goal was to create a fluorometer able to measure algae concentration and photochemical response.
In 2014 I joined the CDT in Metamaterials, at the University of Exeter, where my project focuses on the emergence of quantum correlations of light scattered in disordered materials. It is led under supervision of Dr. Jacopo Bertolotti and Dr. Janet Anders.
