You can look around The Alex Savchenko Centre for Nanoscience clean room using our 360° virtual tour

We have a wide range of world-class research facilities within Quantum Systems and Nanomaterials including two clean rooms covering a total of 150 square metres housing lithography, etching, dicing and deposition systems for nanofabrication, an extensive range of low-temperature measurement systems supported by an on-site helium liquefier, as well as excellent computer facilities for theoretical work:

  • A cluster powered by Intel Nehalem (i7) (2 four-core nodes; 13 eight-core nodes and 4 twelve-core nodes).
  • Many powerful workstations
  • Home built first principals DFT codes (EKSETER and AIMPRO)
