Dr Ole Mark is Head of Research and Development at the Danish Hydraulic Institute in Copenhagen (DHI, www.dhigroup.com). He is a specialist in climate change and urban water systems, with a focus on sewer, drainage and surface water in cities. His work is on both research and practical problem solving within the hydrological cycle, including urban flooding and other water impacts under climate change scenarios.
Dr Mark was an Associate Professor and Programme Coordinator at AIT - Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. He has been a visiting professor at a number of institutions worldwide, including the University of Exeter. He has 20-years' experience in both developed and developing countries. Dr Mark is a key partner in the CORFU consortium (www.corfu7.eu), which is an FP7 project on flood resilience, coordinated by the University of Exeter, Centre for Water Systems.
This will be a very interesting lecture by a researcher, consultant and academic who has led the development and application of cutting edge tools for analysis of water systems.
