Wednesday 26 Oct 2011: Material World: Nonlinear Nanoelectromechanics
Professor Jari Kinaret - (Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and Lead for the EU Graphene Flagship project)
XFi Lecture Theatre, XFi Building 18:15-19:00
We are delighted that Professor Jari Kinaret (Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and Lead for the EU Graphene Flagship project) will be giving an invited evening lecture on Wednesday 26 October. The lecture will describe the evolution of carbon -based nanoelectromechanics covering both applied aspects such as tunable resonators and mechanical mass spectrometers and fundamental issues such as quantum nanoelectromechanics.
This invited lecture is part of the Functional Materials theme of the University's Science Strategy. The lecture will be introduced by Professor Bill Barnes and there will be an opportunity for questions afterwards.
A drinks reception will be held in the XFi Atrium prior to the lecture from 5.45pm.
To attend you need to register (places are limited to 150).
