Nigel is the Museum's Maritime Heritage Officer.
His talk explores the pioneering Plymouth Breakwater; conceived in the late 18th century and designed in the early 19th century - A structure that took well over 30 years to complete. The talk will look at the Breakwater's raison d'etre, its design, the engineers involved and the method of its construction.
