Wednesday 21 Aug 2019[Seminar] Dusty disk winds near the sublimation rim of T tauri stars

Aaron Labdon - University of Exeter

4th floor, Physics building 14:00-15:00

New interferometric observations from the MIRCX instrument at the CHARA array allow us to image the very inner regions of protoplanetary disks with unprecedented resolution. I will present observations of the low mass T tauri star SU Aurigae which reveal a highly inclined inner disk structure. We are able to constrain the structure and curved nature of the sublimation rim and reveal a dusty disk component to the inner disk through extensive radiative transfer modelling.
