Abstract:

Phosphorus loading to the aquatic environment has come under much scrutiny over the last few years and ever-increasingly tighter consents are being imposed to limit the amount of phosphorus being discharged from Devon’s waste water treatment works. New and novel ways of removing the phosphorus in-works are being created within the treatment works, many of which were built in the 1960s and 70s and designed for conventional biological treatment rather than phosphorus removal.

Biography:

An aquatic environmental scientist who somehow ended up in waste water treatment.
