Abstract: Nature-inspired algorithms are becoming popular and widely used in solving problems in optimization, computational intelligence and data mining. This talk reviews some of the latest algorithms and their applications. Some key issues will be highlighted and a few open problems will be discussed.



Biography: Xin-She Yang obtained his DPhil from University of Oxford in applied mathematics, then he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at National Physical Laboratory. Now he is a Reader in Modelling and Optimization at Middlesex University.
