We will give an overview of our research activity at the interface between single photon counting technologies, artificial neural networks and computational methods. We will present results relative to a series of challenging imaging scenarios such as 3D imaging of scenes hidden by a wall, imaging thorugh fibres and imaging through very thick (several cm) of dense scattering.
