Tuesday 15 May 2018: [Journal Club] Sublimation fronts in the protoplanetary disk of T-Tasuri star: SU Aurigae

We present new interferometric observations of the SU Aurigae circumstellar environment from the CLIMB instrument at the CHARA array. The extent and quality of these observations allow for a multi-method approach to understanding the protoplanetary disk. Geometric modelling and image reconstruction reveal a highly inclined disk structure, characterised by a hard, bright inner sublimation rim. The structure of this sublimation front and the composition of the disk are explored through extensive radiative transfer analysis, combining interferometric and photometric observations.
