Tuesday 17 Apr 2018: Validation of the Arctorus MCRT Code
Freddy Wordingham - University of Exeter
4th Floor Interaction Area 11:15-11:45
Arctorus is a Monte Carlo radiative transfer code capable of simulating fully three-dimensional systems using a combination of triangular meshes, to bound optical properties, and adaptive mesh refinement, to quantise the domain. Arctorus has been developed and improved over the last twelve months, and has been shown to accurately and reliably pass analytical benchmarks, as well as agree with similar codes in the literature. This talk will touch upon some of these validations as well as new tests being made agains experimental setups being conducted in the biophysics labs.
