I will show some recent simulations of the external photoionization of a turbulent molecular cloud where I investigate the effects of ionization triggering on the stellar initial mass function. By way of contrast, I will also present a simulation of the effects of multiple ionizing sources on a 30-Doradus-like system in which it appears that star formation has been triggered when in fact it has not.
