The Suppression of the accidental fires in tunnels and understanding their thermal load on the Re-enforced Concrete Construction (RC) involves a very sophisticated, both scientific and technical CFD-based (Computer Fluid Dynamics) research of these phenomena.
Fine computer-aided research is also involved in a sub-sea streams that are offering predictable resource of renewable energy to be extracted by the tidal turbines and transferred into electricity.
In this presentation the progress in the research on such large-scale domains will be presented and discussed.
