In Bell et al. 2012 an interesting problem involving M-dwarf stars was revealed. For stars cooler than about 4000K the flux at optical wavelengths is over predicted by stellar models by a factor of 2, which causes between a factor of 3-4 discrepancy in ages for young clusters. The aim of this project is to use high quality fluxed spectra of clusters of differing age and metallically to reconcile the observations with theory.
